CLARENCE SEEDORF TO RETURN TO COACHING

AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf is set to return to football management as per reports. The retired football star has had two attempts at management but he is set to have another go as talks are underway.

The former Netherlands international featured for Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan, having an illustrious career with four Champions League titles. After obtaining his badges, he got the opportunity to manage the struggling Milan side. He was sacked after only four months in a disastrous spell.

He had another crack at management in China. He coached the Shenzhen FC team but was sacked again after the club finished ninth in the second tier. The club employed a decorated player turn coach with the hope that he would build a solid team and help them to the top flight.

The coach had been linked to a few coaching jobs available including the vacant manager role at League One side Oldham Athletic. The 41-year old dined with the club chair Simon Corney and had a tour of the facilities but he was not offered the role at the end.

The well-traveled Seedorf is reportedly heading to Brazil in search of management roles with an opening at Atletico Paranaense.

The former Inter Milan and Sampdoria player also featured for Brazilian side Botafogo. So he is willing to take the job. Reports in Brazil say he landed in the country to be interviewed but he was whisked off privately by the club officials. Atletico PR want to mount an ambitious challenge after finishing 11th in the Serie A last season.
