Clarence Seedorf will return to Brazil Club Management
Former AC Milan and Dutch star Clarence Seedorf says that he would be open to returning to management with a club in Brazil. The three-time Champions League winner ended his playing days in the Brazilian league with Botafogo.
He is widely credited to have had a professional atmosphere to the club, who have been transformed in the last five years. Seedorf ended his playing days in order to become the AC Milan manager, but he did not last in this position for long. After being sacked towards the end of last season, the former Dutch international is searching for his next job.
There have been rumours that Seedorf would be open to a return to Botafogo, but as a manager. The Dutch international admitted that there was a possibility of doing so and this has introduced a lot of excitement within the Brazilian outfit.
The club have not been able to get the same kind of performances since the exit of Seedorf. His impact at Botafogo will be even greater if he returns as the manager. He did admit that his future is yet to be sorted since he does not know where he belongs right now. For the moment, Seedorf has been watching and attending a lot of coaching sessions.
“I don’t close the door to anything. It’s always good to come back to Brazil to see some old friends again. You never know what could happen in the future. I still have time to think before I go back to work. Football is a demanding business. I’m observing, learning, travelling. We’ll see. It’s not just the results but the lack of top talent. There is only Neymar. Brazil used to have a lot more world class players in Europe. There needs to be innovation,” said the former AC Milan and Real Madrid star.
