Clarence Seedorf – Hopes and Dreams – Dutch

  • By member5738, June 2, 2010 @ 7:45 pm

Yeah I’m Dutch. I remember he missed a penalty against France in 1996, threw us out of the championship. The media blamed him and so did the people. Moreover, there was seperation between black and white players among the team. Everybody in the country knew this and he was the first player to speak out about this, told the truth. That didn’t help him get back. Coaches thought he had a big mouth. He also declined to get back for a little while, a long time ago.

@member5738 Are you Dutch? If so, why is he unpopular? Is it because he had fallings out with the national team or that he preferred to spend the greater part of his career playing in Milan?

He won almost as many club throphies as cruyff. He’s the second most succesfull Dutch football player of all time. Not many appreciated him in my country though. I guess we have a lot of idiots here.

An absolute legend. Does so much work for charity! A superb player on the pitch. A great leader even though he doesn’t wear the captains armband. He doesn’t need it. He shows his class through his excellent play on the pitch. Seedorf is brilliant!
