SEEDORF LINKED WITH WATFORD JOB

Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has been linked with a move to Watford according to reports. Watford manager Javi Garcia has come under increasing pressure this season after a string of poor results this season.

Despite that the season is just two games in, there have been speculations within the local media that the Spaniard could be close to a sack if the run of poor form continues. Garcia was one of the managers that was praised by the media due to his good work at the club.

The Spanish tactician was able to get the best from his players utilizing a 4-4-2 formation that played to the strengths of captain Troy Deeney. He was also able to coax consistent performances from former Barcelona ace Gerard Deleufou.

Watford were in the running for Europe late last season with Wolves just peeping the club to the last European position. Watford also suffered a heavy defeat in the finals of the FA Cup to champions Manchester City.

However, it is the run of form that started last season that could be the nadir for Garcia as Watford are among the teams with the lowest points in their last 15 games.

Seedorf meanwhile has not fared better looking at his coaching pedigree so far. After stepping into the hot seat at Milan, the Dutch legend could not inspire the team and was subsequently sacked. His last role was with the Cameroun national team.

He was unable to lead the African nation to retain their title losing in the quarter finals to Nigeria and he was relieved from his duties after the tournament.

it could be that he would experience better joy in the Premier League with Watford. Garcia still has time to prove himself but the clock is running thin on the Spaniard as Seedorf lies in wait.
