SEEDORF: REAL MADRID CAREER REVEALED

Retired Dutch national team midfielder Clarence Seedorf signed for Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid from Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A in 1996 and he was a regular for the most successful team on the European football stage for the first three seasons.

SEEDORF: DUTCH NATIONAL TEAM CAREER REVEALED

Clarence Seedorf was an important player during the golden generation at Ajax Amsterdam in the 90s under the guidance of Dutch tactician Louis Van Gaal. He was called up to the Dutch national team ahead of the game with Luxembourg. The Luxembourg clash was a qualifier ahead of the 1996 European Championship on English soil. SEEDORF – PUNISH PLAYERS WHO COVER THEIR MOUTH

Football legend Clarence Seedorf has suggested that some players need to start getting sanctioned for certain of the actions they exhibit on the pitch of play. He said he would like to see that there is a penalty for players who cover their mouth when they want to talk to opponents on the field, as the penalty would help curb cases of racism. He also said that the sanction should be very immediate without any deliberations so that it would be perceived as more serious.

In a particular UEFA Europa League match between Slavia Prague and Rangers, it was reported that one of the Slavia players, a defender, allegedly abused an opposition player from the Rangers team racially. The match took place last month and the Rangers player who was said to be abused is Glen Kamara.

SEEDORF REVEALS INTEREST FROM ENGLISH TRIO

 

Dutch football legend Clarence Seedorf has revealed that he had serious interest from three English teams during his playing career. The ex-Real Madrid and AC Milan player made the revelation while he was speaking to journalist Ben Haines who worked for 90min as he looked back on his illustrious career as a professional footballer. The 44-year-old spent the majority of his career in Italy and also had spells in Spain and Brazil. His professional career started in his native Netherlands as the member of the golden generation at Ajax Amsterdam. Clarence Seedorf was part of the youthful Ajax Amsterdam side that stunned AC Milan in the 1995 Champions League final to win the much coveted European trophy.

SEEDORF BACKS RONALDO FOR CL RECORD

 

Ex-Real Madrid, Inter Milan and AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has backed five-time Ballon d’Or recipient Cristiano Ronaldo for a unique Champions League record. The Dutch football legend believes that Ronaldo can make that Champions League record.


Clarence Seedorf has the distinct record of being the only player towin the Champions League trophy with three different clubs and he believes that Juventus hitman Cristiano Ronaldo can also equal that record. Seedorf, 44, won his first Champions League title with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam during the 1994/95 season before adding another title with Spanish giants Real Madrid during the 1997/98 campaign. He also won the competition twice as an AC Milan player during the 2002/03 and 2006/07 seasons.

ARSENAL AND MAN CITY TO BATTLE FOR STAR MIDFIELDER

 

Arsenal and Manchester City have shown interest Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar. Aouar has impressed during the Ligue 1 season. It was at the group stage the Aouar announced his brilliance to City and Gurdiola and the Citizens have been monitoring the player since then. There were unconfirmed reports that they made an enquiry about the player’s availability in January, but no deal materialized.
