REPORT: £58M LEEDS & NEWCASTLE TARGET NOW WANTS TO JOIN AC MILAN

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Leeds and Newcastle target Christian Pulisic now wants to join AC Milan. Well, unfortunately for the United States international, he has not received much playing time at Chelsea so far this season. Pulisic has made just one start in the Premier League, which led to interest from Leeds and Newcastle as they considered giving him an escape route from his Stamford Bridge nightmare. It was the Telegraph who revealed that the Magpies wanted to sign the £58m man, whereas Dean Jones claimed that Jesse Marsch wanted him at Elland Road.

Now, however, the Premier League duo could lose out to AC Milan. Gazzetta dello Sport believe Pulisic would ‘gladly accept’ an offer from the Italian giants, who are eyeing a move for him as a result of his situation at Chelsea. The 24-year-old is desperate for game time, and would jump at the chance of a move to the San Siro, where he would reunite with his old Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud. While Leeds and Newcastle are both fantastic clubs steeped in history, there is no way either of them can compete with AC Milan at the moment. Read more »

AC Milan host Bologna in Serie A on Saturday afternoon in what could prove to be an intriguing Serie A clash. While the hosts did not have the best of starts to their title defence, having earned a win and a draw from their opening two matches, they showed champions’ mettle last weekend. Milan were not in full swing against Atalanta last time out, needing a spectacular equaliser from Ismael Bennacer to salvage a point from the feisty encounter and extend their unbeaten run.

Having said that, Stefano Pioli will be pleased with a point against a European regular and with the Rossoneri’s resilience on that difficult away trip. However, he will want his attacking players to be more precise in the final third since there were plenty of opportunities to win the game last time out. Read more »
